Buying a house is scary

Buying a house is scary, so it really helps to have awesome allies on your side. Working with Paul was a breeze, even in this insane market. It started even before we were ready to buy, when he put on a free class with mortgage broker Lauren Green that totally demystified us on all the steps we’d have to take to get a home. Then, once we had our ducks in a row, Lauren whisked us through pre-approval.

Then Paul became our bloodhound for an awesome pad. He was always willing to answer an anxiety-filled text (I sent many!) about the major step we were taking in buying our first home. He was easy and available to show us houses at all sorts of weird hours and had some solid advice about what was going to be our best choices–but only when we asked. He pulled together at least 10 bids for us as we battled to get a house in North/Northeast Portland, and stuck with us when we kept getting shot down. Finally, he brought our great house to our attention, helped us settle on an aggressive bid and we got it! It’s so great to sit at the dining room table of my very own home and write something awesome about Paul and Lauren!
